Marguerite Ogle of About.com:
"The Pilates ring workout opens with a great butt and thigh toning sequence. I remember thinking: Oh good, bathing suit weather is right around the corner (it's December as I write this). Not to be outdone, the arms get a good workout too. The sequence is similar to the magic circle upper body toning workout here. So you can review those exercises and then take them with you on MP3."
"The foam roller workout is a nice combination of fundamental moves, inventive stretches, and massages with the roller. If you've ever wondered what to do with a foam roller, you will get good ideas here. There is a really interesting way to stretch the front of the hip and thigh near the end of the sequence. There is also a particularly um, painful, rolling "massage" along the outside of the thigh at the end. But it's soooo good for you."

Anne Samoilov:
"The sequence of exercises has all the qualities of a solid pilates principles workout--easy to follow, well-paced and above all safe. Lynda has the ability to be very specific without overwhelming the listener with anatomical jargon. She says just enough and a little bit more to get you feeling what you should be feeling.
The mp3 workout is very inexpensive and totally worth the purchase. I highly recommend this workout specifically for people who travel a lot, find themselves sitting a bit too much or anyone who has a very physical job. The foam roller provides so much muscle release and relaxation!"

"In “Ring and Roller Pilates”, Lippin's leg exercises with the circle will most definitely shape and tone your thighs – my own were burning! And her behind the back squeeze with the circle is an easy and terrific tool for releasing the tension that creeps into our shoulders. She then switches to the foam roller for releasing tight spots in our thighs, hips, back and legs. Wow, you just want to sink into the floor when she's done! For those who like to use gadgets, I highly recommend this very well done audio for a work out where you'll "feel the burn" and see the results!"

Kerrie Ann Frey of YesPilates.com:
"The Pilates Magic Circle and Foam Roller Workout is a solid whole body challenge. Throughout the session, the powerhouse is addressed no matter what body part is concentrated on, as should be in a Pilates workout. The upper body portion can make your lats and serratus sing as Lippin works the biceps, triceps, scapulas and everything in between. The lower half also gets its fair share of attention with side-lying leg work that balance out the leg and gluteus muscles evenly.
The foam roller work at the end of the workout is a “hurt so good” blend of massage, stretching and additional core strength that brings the workout to a nice finish. It would make a great quickie stand-alone end of day session as well. I’ve used it as a warm up for Reformer and Wunda Chair sessions too."
